Our Claremont-Nedlands - 2s were on song as they saw off Rockingham-Mandurah - 2s in a tense finish.
Batting first, the boys were all out for 189 in 49 overs. Angus King passed fifty on the way to 69 off 97 balls with three fours. Zeph Netherway's 59 off 54 balls was a half-century to remember. Bryce Becker claimed three for 39 for Rockingham-Mandurah - 2s.
In reply, our opponents finished on 187 from 49.5 overs. Ryan Hall batted well for the hosts, making 47 off 69 balls. With the ball, Bryn Bursill did the damage, claiming three for 48 off ten overs. There were also wickets for Netherway (two for 18).
Our bowlers made sure our opponents didn't bat out their overs. Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
