It was one to learn from for our Claremont-Nedlands - 3s, who couldn't get past South Perth - 3s on a tough day.
First up, South Perth - 3s made 5/254 from 45 overs. Fifty for Sam Szigligeti, who made 65 not out for our opponents. Ollie Anable bowled well to finish with two for 47. Joseph Taylor bowled well for two for 51.
Needing 255 to win, we finished on 6/206 from 45 overs. Ben McManus's 60 not out off 75 balls was a half-century to remember. Matthew Lough's 51 off 60 balls was a half-century to remember. Tejas Panicker returned four for 38 for the hosts.
Credit to our opponents, who played well. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Well played to the hosts.
