There was no joy for our Claremont-Nedlands - 1s, who were bested by University - 1s in a tough outing.
Batting first, the boys were all out for 203 in 49.4 overs. Nicholas Hobson led the way with 46 off 42 balls with one four and three sixes. Sean Thompson made 43 off 69 balls. Jacob Whiteaker weighed in with 30 off 49 balls. Mitchell Drennan was the best of University - 1s' bowlers, finishing with three for 29. William Bosisto finished with three for 41 for the visitors.
Our opponents knocked off the runs, finishing on 5/205 in 47 overs. Credit to Christopher Sabburg, who made a half-century (75) for the visitors. Charlie Walters returned figures of two for 32 off seven overs. Rufus Zampatti finished with two for 47.
Chins up, everyone.
