It was one to learn from for our Claremont-Nedlands - 1s, who lost their match against Subiaco-Floreat - 1s on home soil.
In terms of totals, it was Claremont-Nedlands - 1s 131 and 7/259 and Subiaco-Floreat - 1s 8/177. Take a bow, Lochie Hardy: a terrific 153 off 208 balls with seventeen fours and three sixes. Luke Gollan added a useful 44 off 101 balls. Joel Whelan chipped in with 36. A five-wicket haul to Hamish McKenzie for our opponents (five for 100).
Franklin Stewart Lough tore through the batting order, taking five for 46. Fifty for Ollie Sykes, who made 70 for the visitors. Sam Smith posted 51 not out for our opponents, a stylish fifty.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Credit to the visitors, and well played.
