There were smiles all round after our Claremont-Nedlands - 1s emerged victorious against Midland-Guildford - 1s on home soil.
We batted first and put 8/283 on the board from 50 overs. Sean Thompson was the star with the bat, compiling a superb 121 off 152 balls with thirteen fours and two sixes. Thomas Gosling was the main threat for Midland-Guildford - 1s, taking three for 47.
Our opponents were all out for 155 in 35 overs in reply. Credit to Joe Phillips, who made a half-century (52) for the visitors. Zeph Netherway tore through the batting order, taking six for 32. Matthew Lough claimed three for 35 as well.
It was a brilliant all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. The win makes it six in a row. We're on the road against Subiaco-Floreat - 1s next Saturday.
